ABS Awareness Month 2015: A Part Of, Not Apart From

Welcome to Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month!

Museums and cultural institutions around the world are joining Art Beyond Sight to raise awareness of disability, accessibility, and inclusion throughout the month of October. This year we have even more to celebrate, because 2015 marks the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Here’s how YOU can be a part of it:

Dial in to our 13th Annual Crash Course

Our annual professional development teleconference is bigger and better than ever.  We’re offering at least one hour’s worth of programming every weekday in October.  Conversation highlights will include:

  • 25 Hours of Accessible Tech: Honoring 25 Years of the ADA with Alvaro Gutierrez,
  • The Artist’s Insight: Talking with Culture Creators about Disability
  • Building Accessibility in Museums: Topics from ABS’s Disability and Inclusion Curriculum Resource

And more! For a full schedule and dial-in information, visit our Crash Course web page

Share your access adventures on the Stories from the Field blog

It’s easy!  Tell your story by creating an account and writing a short blog post to share how you honor the spirit of the ADA every day.  The best part is, the blog will now live on year-round in the Project Access Newsroom!
