Welcome to Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month!

Be Part of the Conversation and Make Your Voice Heard!

Welcome to Art Beyond Sight's 30th anniversary, and the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. For our Free International Virtual Meeting of Minds (14th annual ABS Awareness Month Crash Course) we are inviting thousands of cultural staff (in education, interpretation, visitor services, etc.) from NYC, the United States and around the world to join in panel discussions on holistic views of arts and cultural inclusion for the last 30 years and moving forward — our past, present and future.

As always, it's a collaborative effort. We ask all of you — our colleagues and fellow stakeholders — to participate. Over these next three months we ask YOU to add to our collective wish list of what the arts, culture and recreation inclusion community needs to discuss. What are our past accomplishments? Where are we today? And what challenges or opportunities will we encounter in the coming 30 years?

Please share your thoughts and experiences. You may respond as many times as you like; feel free to visit often and share additional ideas in the coming weeks. We thank you in advance for your contributions to the field and to the celebration.

It’s easy! Tell your story by creating an account and writing a short blog post to share how you honor the spirit of the ADA every day. The best part is, the blog will now live on year-round in the Project Access Newsroom!
