AccessNYC’s Cultural Night Out SEASON FINALE
The Luck of the Irish

FREE Admission: Drop in anytime or come for the entire program!

It’s St. Patrick’s Day, and everybody's Irish! Art Beyond Sight and the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities invite you to join us to celebrate the Emerald Isle and all the multi-sensory culture it has to offer. Irish music, dance, literature, and myth has given the tiny island a huge impact on the cultural life of the entire world, and NYC is no exception.

Come treat yourself to the wonderful voice of Father John Sheehan of the Xavier Society, who’ll sing for us (and with us!) songs from the Irish tradition. Learn fascinating facts about early Irish immigrant life in NYC from the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, and hear about their upcoming accessible and inclusive programs. Discover what the Irish Arts Center has to offer, hear a bit of Irish poetry, and learn what St. Patrick’s Day is all about. We’ll have a warm Irish welcome to get you into the spirit of the day. And don’t forget to wear green!

Drop in for AccessNYC’s Cultural Night Out at the Andrew Heiskell Library after work, one Thursday each month, for an event that is part social gathering, part interactive workshop, and part NYC exploration. Each month we’ll celebrate a different arts and cultural offering. Enjoy a show of dance, theater, music, or fine arts; then join in with hands-on participation, and hear about accessible events around NYC related to that month’s theme.
