Presenter Annie Leist, Special Projects Lead of Art Beyond Sight, based in New York, NY, will be joining us for this special CCAC workshop!

Visitors experience the rich museum environment in a variety of ways. In this workshop session we’ll explore ways to engage more than just the visual sense. Through presentation, exercises and discussion, participants will explore the benefits of descriptive language for all audiences, learn the purpose of more thorough description for visitors who are blind or have low vision, and discuss strategies for developing and facilitating multisensory experiences.

Who Should Attend: CCAC programs are always free of charge and open to the public.
For this program, we recommend:
Those who officially (or unofficially) are responsible for accessibility at your organization
Those who interact or interpret for the public, specifically in museum settings

The event space is accessible to wheelchair users and to visitors who need to avoid stairs. Open captioning and assistive listening devices will be available.

For further accessibility information or to request additional accommodations, please contact us by email at ChicagoCulturalAccess@gmail.com or by calling Lynn Walsh at 708-921-1980.
