The Cripple Creek Heritage Center in Cripple Creek, Colorado is a unique experience for the whole family. Learn the history of the World's Greatest Gold Camp. Learn about Zebulon Pikes, who was the first explorer to attempt to scale Pike's Peak; the early Natives of the area; how the Gold Camp came to be; how the hardy residents lived in the 1890s; and even a little about modern day gold mining. Using static and interactive displays, a visitor can spend hours enjoying our unique environment. There are three floors, serviced by an elevator. Handicapp accessible parking and restrooms are available. Also, our friendly staff will tell you anything you'de like to know about visiting the Gold Mining District including maps, directions and recommendations for everything from restaurants to lodging.
