Located in the center of Government Camp, Oregon's only alpine village, at the base of Mount Hood, the cultural center is the place to learn about the history, culture, and current recreations opportunities in the area. The facility serves as a visitor center, history museum, art sales gallery and gift store. The social and natural history of the area is interpreted with static and changing exhibits. The visitor center provides information relating to recreation opportunites, overnight housing, shopping and resturants. The gift store offers unique and useful items, historic photographs, as well as maps and passes needed to recreate in the area. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible. No entry fee, donations accepted.
